During a recent visit to New Castle my husband, one of his colleagues and I visited Four Brothers. We started out with a flat bread and a hummus sampler that were both quite good. From there I had the chicken marsala that was also very good. So why only 3 stars? The restaurant was not very busy when we arrived but for some reason we were seated all the way in the back right by the kitchen door! The restaurant was also far too bright - a dimmer switch and some table lighting would do wonders for the atmosphere! This could easily be 4 star place with a little more attention to the details!

A welcome addition to New Castle. I was on jury duty, so we walked here for lunch. Cute little place with a variety of items on the menu. I went with the Reuben. The portion of corned beef was generous, and great quality. Also, they showed restraint with the sauerkraut, which I appreciated. I'd definitely return here for a meal with my family, I am sure they would enjoy it as much as I did.

I would like to start by saying it's very difficult for me to give a five star review to any restaurant. I am new to New Castle and I've had some really horrible meals at other establishments in this area. Anyway... From the outside the place it looks very unassuming and I immediately had a bad feeling that this was going to be another depressing dining experience. Walking in, the place looked clean with a very well stocked bar I was actually shocked by the inside considering the shabby exterior and gravel parking lot. We were promptly greeted by a friendly hostess and we were seated. The menu had a large and diverse selection of Italian inspired meals, it was refreshing to see a full menu of martinis and other cocktails as well. We started with martinis an Italian Apple and toasted marshmallow. Both were fantastic with an excellent balance of sweet flavor and alcohol. We had tomato bisque that was very creamy and had excellent flavors. The salad was good nothing outstanding but I will mention their Italian dressing is very good. My wife ordered the baked chicken with roasted red potatoes, caramelized apples, smothered in cheese and topped with bacon. I had to try it and it was a meal I want to go back for myself. I ordered the seared salmon that had this amazing thin crispy exterior with such complex flavor and I can honestly say it was the best I've ever had. This place just blew me away the service was fantastic which is hard to find these days but the food, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it and its only been three hours since finishing our meals. The prices are very reasonable and I will be a returning customer. If you have not tried this place please do, you will not be sorry. I even had to compliment the chef, something I very rarely do. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner who is a very nice gentleman. I'm very glad my wife found this new favorite place of ours.

Was in town for a special event and happened upon this place. What an amazing meal! The food, service and atmosphere were wonderful. If it wasn't a 2-hour drive from home we would be regulars.

Love dining here when visiting New Castle because of the yummy food. One of our faves is the steamed mussels. The broth is perfect esp to soak the crostinis. They are pretty generous with the amount of mussels. Highly recommended as long as you don't mind smelling of garlic. I've heard from some people in NC that they don't think to come here for food because of the small menu. They do have a just a few dishes on the regular menu but all of those dishes are so good that I don't think you can go wrong eating anything here as they have seafood, steak, etc. If anything, order the chicken over rice, which is my personal go to. It is so good with the garlic and pepper sauce. They also have the chef's daily specials on top of their regular menu and usually, those are good dishes too. Some of my friends also come here esp for happy hour to share the tapas. My other fave off the tapas is the crab stuffed protobellas. It's so cheesy and creamy. They had empanada appetizers before too that my hubby loved. Hope that makes it on the regular tapas menu. Frankie, the bartender, is super nice and makes delicious drinks! He sometimes belt out tunes and has a great voice! Very entertaining :) I love dessert martinis and they are $5 during happy hr here. They have different beers on tap, not a lot, but good seasonal beers to choose from. Not sure if they have any IPAs here. Things that can be improved (1) adding more bathrooms. I do like the one bathroom because it is spacious! but it can probably fit another stall. I sometimes have to use the men's bathroom bc of the wait (at least they do a pretty good job at cleaning it. thumbs up). (2) improvement with parking as there are not a lot of spaces and gets muddy. I guess you can park across the street too.

Went to Four Brothers a while back and thought, like others, they need to upgrade and pay more attention to details--maybe I was there a night without a manager. Our "flatbread" seemed to be like heat and serve flat rolls with toppings--certainly not a flatbread. the soup was delicious but while just starting our soup the waitress brings out the main course--I'm talking about bringing the main course on the second spoonful of soup. The place was about half full so I don't know why she was rushing--seemed really young so probably new but the manager should control that. Dinner good but not great---I know it's New Castle but I put this as just a "OK" place. Overpriced for the quality and service. Even though half full they put us right by the kitchen door also.

Had another great meal on our repeat trip. I even ordered the same salad even though there were other items on the menu that looked delish. Can't find a salad with fries in Florida, so I had to take advantage while in PA! You must try this if you're in the New Castle area!!

Wonderful! Our server, Brandy Sue was helpful and friendly. I ordered the Greek Linguini; full of spinach, feta, and olives. Very yummy! My husband had the fried Cod with potatoes and sautéed vegetables. It shocked me to see him eat his vegetables first! He really enjoyed them. But the best part was the homemade cinnamon butter, balsamic oil, and dressings. Great establishment!

If this place was in a large city, I'd give this 3 stars but due to it's location it's definitely of the better restaurants in an area which seems littered with chain restaurants. Although, they have a Tapas menu, I wouldn't really say it's real tapas (which is tiny spanish dishes). It's more like a big appetizer menu. My dinner was good. I had tomato bisque which I loved but the calamari could have been better. The olive aioli wasn't olive enough for me and I wish they had put the aioli on the side to dip rather than drizzle it over the top of the calamari. I also had a crab cake which was good, again, for the area. Overall a good meal.

I went to Four Brothers the last time I was home, and contrary to my previous review, the crowd was mostly older people on a Friday night, and they played "Lady in Red" about four times in the hour and a half we were there. Maybe it was some sort of inside joke that my friends and I were not in on. When I asked the bartender to start a tab for me, she seemed not to understand what I meant even though there were not many other people there. It wasn't worth the trouble, so I said forget it and paid with cash. Service was not great, and the beer I chose, something from the Erie Brewing company, was not impressive. When they opened, I had gone a few times, and it was a good experience, but it's DEFINITELY gone downhill since then. In my previous review, I commented on the lack of trashy people, which was NOT the case on my last visit. I don't think I'll be going back.

All homemade sauces, dressings, even the cinnamon an sugar butter! Filet, greekstyle linguini are amazing! Service was fantastic! They cater to special diets without question and with a smile which is rare in other restaurants! Definitely coming again!!!
